Congressional Soils Caucus

The Congressional Soils Caucus is a bipartisan caucus, made up of nearly 40 House members all interested in the issue of soil science. Since 2006, ASA, CSSA, and SSSA have worked with the Congressional Soils Caucus to help educate policymakers about the importance of soils and soil science. The Caucus holds educational briefings on different soil science topics including soil conservation and management, soil health, carbon sequestration, urban soils, and how soils can mitigate the impacts of natural disasters such as fires, droughts, and floods.
